April Showers...

I just posted my first FOs to the Get Stitchy April Showers Along. I'm finished, but have developed a strong desire to knit washcloths for everyone I know! I just can't believe I finished something & on time too! This has been really fun, because these are not items I would have thought to knit and now I'm addicted to washcloths...

I made the Bath Mitt & Puffy from One Skein out of Peaches & Cream Cotton, but wish I'd been able to find the recommended yarn Himalaya Aloo. I also got to try Tunisian Crochet for the first time & I really love the look & texture of it.


Then I dove into the Mason Dixon Washcloth from Mason Dixon Knitting also in Peaches & Cream Cotton. I already started another one—because I just have to that's why.


Can't wait for their next KAL "May Flowers" to start! How about a washcloth with flowers all over it?

Stuff on needles, waiting to be finished...

Sometimes they whisper to me, "I'm here waiting for you..." and sometimes they scream "FINISH ME ALREADY!", and they are all so amazing to start, but then — I spot a new pattern, something irresistable, something I've already got yarn for! No problem, I can handle it, it's interesting to work on more than one project at a time. Sure it is. Really. EVERYBODY does it...
Some of us do it better than others. But it's about to undo me! I have almost nothing to show for all the knitting I do — ridiculous! So I'm on a campaign to finish what I've started, but after much reflection I have come to realize that this will probably not keep me from casting on new projects. Vicious circle. Oh well. So I joined a couple KALs to keep me on task. Let's hope it works...

I have 4 different projects from this book I'm working on, the men's cashmere scarf, the legwarmers, a hat to match the rustic scarf I already finished (it does happen occassionally), and the chevron scarf. The bad news is I can't find the cashmere scarf, it's lost in the jungle that is my house, the good news is the others are coming along.

Hat in progress, this Rowan yarn was hard to find, but soooo worth it...
